The bridge stretches across the middle of the scene, with a dark gondola resting beneath it. Tall buildings close in on either side, making the view feel sheltered and intimate.
Yellow and terracotta reflect in the green canal. Small windows and the fine lines of the bridge’s railing add detail to the broader, looser areas of colour.
